From LA Roots to Global Inspirations
Our Story
Chef Chelsea was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she was immersed in the diverse people and unique foods of various cultures. From a young age, she developed a deep appreciation of food and flavors. She saw how the love of food and the need to be nourished are universal, and enjoyed bringing people together with good, comforting meals.
Chef Chelsea honed her cooking skills at The Institute of Culinary Education, earning diplomas in Culinary Arts and Restaurant and Culinary Management. She has also traveled through various parts of Europe and Mexico, and regions of the United States, sampling techniques and foods along the way. Each journey brought new insights into what makes the different regions unique, expanding her culinary perspective. Most recently, she took a culinary vacation to Oaxaca City, Mexico, to study and cook under two chefs, one who is locally renowned.
Sagittarius Classic Foods came to fruition through Chef Chelsea’s innate love of cooking and entertaining. The Sagittarian is the adventurous traveler of the zodiac, constantly seeking knowledge and new connections. Her goal is to deliver nostalgic, comforting dishes people love, all infused with bold, elevated flavors inspired by her travels and training. You can find Chef Chelsea at local farmers’ markets selling baked goods.
